Dispense and warm up a small amount of La Crème Solaire on your fingertips and apply to the face, neck, and décolleté before sun exposure or before makeup. Renew applications, especially in case of prolonged exposure and/or after bathing, wiping or perspiration. Avoid exposure between noon and 4pm, sunburns are dangerous, especially for children. Apply 2-finger's worth for full coverage. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoor or after sweating/swimming.

What is the difference between a mineral and a chemical sunscreen?

Mineral (physical) filters such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide sit on the surface of the skin and reflect UV rays, working from the moment they are applied. Chemical filters penetrate the skin and convert UV into heat. Mineral formulas like this cream are often preferred by sensitive or reactive skin that chemical filters can irritate.

Can I reapply it over makeup?

Reapplying a cream over makeup risks unsettling it. For midday touch-ups over makeup, we recommend The Sunscreen Powder SPF50+, which brushes on cleanly and mattifies. Use The Sun Cream as your protective base in the morning, then refresh your protection with the powder as the day goes on.

Is it water-resistant?

Like most sunscreens, it should be reapplied after swimming, heavy perspiration or towel-drying to maintain protection. No sunscreen lasts all day on a single application: reapply at least every two hours of sun exposure, and after any contact with water, for reliable protection.

Which SPF should I choose for sensitive skin?
